HINT #1: BARBECUE RIBS

Hint #1: Don’t touch the hot grill. 🙂 Well, it’s grilling season again and I have to say it’s about time. I was getting antsy staying indoors. I am an outdoor type of guy. I can grill and grill all year round but I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to freeze, so I limit myself to warm weather.

Well enough. Let’s start off with making a good barbecue back rib. Some people par-boil the ribs but if I did it that way, all the flavors will cook out of the product leaving a tasteless back rib. But if you boil the back rib and then use the water it was boiled in the make a stock or gravy to use on the ribs, then it’s not a bad idea to boil. But still, I like to bake my ribs.

Put on rub before you start baking them. Does not have to be a rub. It can just be a pepper or garlic or any other spice you want to use. But be careful when you use salt because salt pulls out moisture and we don’t want that to happen.

Pre-heat your oven or gas grill or even your hot charcoal grill if you get the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Pre-heat for about 15 minutes to get the grill or oven hot.

Place the ribs on the grill or place into a roasting pan. (If you’re using a roasting pan, put an inch of water on the bottom base of the pan. This is done so the bottom of the roasting pan won’t burn.)

Bake uncovered until you get your desired color which will probably take 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

Cover with foil and continue to let them bake until they are done. When you want to take the the ribs out and stop baking is when you can take the rib and they start to peel off the bone easily.

After you are done baking and the ribs are coming off the meat, then put on the barbecue sauce and continue to bake them for another 5-7 minutes.

Finally, turn off the oven or grill let the back ribs rest for 10 minutes. Place on a plate and enjoy your happy rib meal. Just writing this is making me hungry for ribs.

Where is da best place to buy ribs? JASPER MEATS! YES, JASPER MEATS!
